I was having the same problem now with Python 3.4.3. I was using pandas-0.18.0. Upgrading (using pip) solved the issue for me: [sudo] pip install –upgrade pandas The final result of the upgrade: Successfully installed numpy-1.13.3 pandas-0.21.0 python-dateutil-2.6.1 pytz-2017.3 six-1.11.0 After this, the issue was gone!

In the properties for your pydev project, there’s a pane called “PyDev – PYTHONPATH”, with a sub-pane called “External Libraries”. You can add source folders (any folder that has an __init__.py) to the path using that pane. Your project code will then be able to import modules from those source folders.
For code in your project, the only way is adding a declaration saying that you expected that — possibly protected by an if False so that it doesn’t execute (the static code-analysis only sees what you see, not runtime info — if you opened that module yourself, you’d have no indication that main was expected). … Read more
